Blog Task 5 - Carol Vernallis

Carol Vernallis States that:

Narrative in music video is not always complete
Music Videos are not always balanced between narrative and performance
Music Videos dont always have narrative resolution at the end
Music Videos often pose questions in the narrative that are not answered within the video

A music video which includes examples of jump cuts , obvious edits and multiple close ups is Ariana Grande Problem ft Iggy Azalea

First example of a edit is the collage of Iggy Azalea. This is an unusual edit because majority of the music videos now don't include three way split screens within music videos.

Close ups are presented of the artists themselves. This is effective because it portrays their importance within the music video as they're continuously being focused on.
