Here is a preview of the banner on my website, I created this using photoshop and other technology as a photoshop website on the internet, the lined were specifically placed there as it links well with the digipak. I have added the buttons for the social media of the artist at the top with the banner so that her audience will notice it more easily and have easier access to it too.

53. Post photos that you plan to use on your ancillary products. EXPLAIN WHY THEY MIGHT BE USED

I plan on using these photos because they represent the artist best. From the locations to the style of the picture and how she poses. Most of the pictures are also linked to the music video itself, where we have taken moments that the artist and her friend were having fun. These pictures also support our synergy which is the use of pastel colours, the background for example the nude background.

This picture we have decided to use for our ancillary products, I used this as the headline picture of my website because it shows the artist clearly and the picture is the most vibrant.

How convectional was my ancillary work? – The Digipak

Deep-house music artist tend to not show their face on their digipak. However, I challenged this convection and decided to put our artist face on my digipak. I felt like this will emphasises that this is her music and will give her the control over her album. Also, I feel like it’ll help her connect more with her audience compared to other deep-house artist as there is no barrier and the audience know who she is.

Also, a lot of female artist tend to be on their album covers and tend to be the centre of attention on it. This is majority of the time to emphasise their authority and independence. I felt that it was important for our artist to be centre of attention as there aren’t a lot of female deep-house artists out there.

Overall, I feel like my digipak was convectional as it had the right information on it e.g. production information, record label logo, barcode, date of release etc.

How convectional was my ancillary work? – The Website

Another convection that I challenged here was showing the artists face – again. Deep house artist tend to have minimal pictures of themselves on the website homepage, they tend to only be pictures from tour or behind the scene, never a proper professional taken picture.

Also, Deep-house artist tend to have dark and deeper tone colour schemes on their website but I did the complete opposite as I used pink tones.

Overall I did follow the main convections of a website homepage of an artist, such as more pictures over text, the general links, social media links, music videos, link to purchase album.

Survey monkey

I've made and published my Survey monkey to find out what my target audience liked about the music video, website and digipak.

53- Photos i plan to use on my ancillary product

Digipak

For my digipak i decided to use two pictures one for the front cover and the second one on the back.

I plan to use this picture for the front cover of my digipak as it is very important to show the audience our new up coming artist for them to be able to recognise her for her music

This is the picture i plan to use for the back of my digipak along side the list of songs.

Website

For my website i'd like to use a number of pictures of the audience to attract the target audience. I'm going to include some pictures of both of the girl in the music video as it is a new song therefore we have to promote the song on the website.
Here are some of the pictures i will include in the website:
